The Model 7500 smart wedge Printer™ is a
receipt/journal/validation printer with interface ports to drive
any and all of the peripherals used at a POS station. The printer
is a serial device that can run on Microsoft Windows platforms.
A sophisticated smart wedge within the printer's package provides
interface ports to drive all of the POS peripherals. A configuration utility
software is included for easy programming of keyboard,
magnetic stripe reader, bar code scanner and an auxiliary serial
device. The printer is the only device to connect and relay data
to the host PC via the RS-232 port and keyboard port. Saving valuable counter
space and I/O ports on the PC. The printer becomes the system
to which all peripherals connect for a small, neat POS station.
